Sister Projects Agroecology-TRANSECT and SWIFT come together in a webinar you cannot miss. This webinar, which will take place on Wednesday 28 May at 10:00, examines the gendered impacts of the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), highlighting how it overlooks women farmers and may reinforce structural inequalities. Despite the EU’s stated commitment to gender equality, CAP often fails to address the political barriers women face. The event also explores gender narratives in European agroecology movements and presents three case studies showcasing strategies by women to overcome structural barriers—such as building networks, accessing diverse training, and engaging local stakeholders. It includes a feminist analysis of agroecological farm sustainability and discusses gender indicators used in Agroecology-TRANSECT. This webinar is relevant to farmers, policymakers, researchers, and civil society actors interested in gender equality and sustainable food systems.
