This autumn we held two open and participatory workshops where we shared the results of WP4 and delved deeper into developing a tool for diagnosing the feminist viability of small-scale agroecological production. Following the project’s case studies, the first workshop was held in Galicia and the second in southern Catalonia to bring together participants from both Catalonia and Valencia.
- Santiago de Compostela – 28th October 2025 (Organized by the Women’s Secretariat of the Labrego Galego. It took place in the Centro de Interpretación de parques e xardíns)
- Ulldemolins – 17 November 2025 (The session took place in La Porta del Congost, a mountain hostel run by the cooperative La Somereta)
¿What did we do during the workshops?
The sessions began with an explanation of the project: its objectives, the methodology developed, and the data collected, as well as the results obtained, to ensure that all attendees were on the same page. The producers participating in projects shared their assessment of the process, not only regarding data collection but also how the results and data were shared and presented. Following this, we shared our reflections on what the feminist viability diagnostic tool should be like and what it should include. We then discussed this idea using some key questions.
Once all the project information was shared and the producers’ perspectives were discussed, we began the participatory part of the workshop where we divided the tool into three phases: 1) data collection 2) data analysis and feedback of results 3) Shake-up: individual and collective changes and we began to imagine what our ideal tool would be like.
Many many thanks!
To all farmers involved, both to those who were able to participate in the workshops, and to those who couldn’t, thank you for your involvement and collective thinking. And a special thank you to the Women’s Secretariat of the Sindicato Labrego Galego for the organization and care.
